Colleagues:
The Mathematics Department at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette
has several Ph.D. assistantships available for the spring semester,
2016. Persons interested in working on a Ph.D. from our department
will be assured consideration for these assistantships, provided
they apply through our Graduate School by November 30 of this year.
(Unfortunately, this is somewhat late for international students,
but those students are still encouraged to apply, if not for this
spring, for next fall.) See:
http://gradschool.louisiana.edu/prospective-students
Our graduate student stipends have recently been increased, so
they are now competitive with stipends offered at universities
in the southern United States. Also, extensive construction
has recently been completed, making our campus a more beautiful
and pleasant place.
I have attached a copy of our departmental flyer, giving a summary
of information about our department and its faculty.
In addition to the formal application, I encourage candidates interested
in working with me to also contact me directly.
Best regards,
Ralph Baker Kearfott (rbk@louisiana.edu)
