The great energy deception.
People speaking against wind mills and solar panels have started to claim that they cost more then an equivalent MW power station and their construction generates more greenhouse gazes. This is actually not true and also a very dishonest expression missing the facts. In fact, construction of one coal fired or petrol fired power station vs the same power wind farm, the costs will be lower for the power station but in effect, the power station site construction is involving much more machinery and site preparation, thereby leading to much more greenhouse gazes. In the design, construction and operation of wind mills, solar panels or even electric motors, the cost for CO2 capture and return to the ground is included. The petrol related projects for producing power at large scales for electricity generation or in small packages like in vehicle engines never included and continue not to include a complete cost and impact analysis where CO2 capture is taken into account. This is what ios wrong with the way we do analyse these projects.
